education of children at Longfellow through volunteer and financial support. Los Compadres is a registered non-profit
501(c) (3) organization, Tax ID #76-0804393, that helps plan, fund, and organize various activities throughout the school
year.
Through fundraising, Los Compadres PTO provides; Educational Enrichment, Literacy Enrichment, Teacher Grants, Cultural and Community Enrichment, Campus Beautification and Planned Capital Improvements. The PTO sponsors fundraising activities so that the students and their families have access to a well-rounded educational program.
Longfellow is has a very active PTO and is very lucky to have the benefits of an extraordinarily supportive parent and
family community. At Longfellow every family and staff member is automatically a member of the organization. There
is no membership fee. It is the Foundation's Board sincere hope that as a part of our community you will feel drawn to
become involved at some level. The rewards are plentiful for you and your children. Research shows that kids who's
parents are involved in their school perform better academically and socially and are more confident. Without the
volunteer's time and talent none of this would be possible.
