Full-time is considered 3 or more days per week; Part-time is considered 2 or less days per week.

Registration fee: $50 per child.

Character Builders Pricing Options

5 Day AM/PM: Member: $466 Non-Member: $549
5 Day AM: Member: $187 Non-Member: $220
5 Day PM: Member: $350 Non-Member: $412
3 Day PM: Member: $280 Non-Member: $280

*Note: How the monthly pricing is determined is by taking the number of days school is in session and dividing that by the number of months school is in session. This is so the pricing does not fluctuate month to month.

Alternative Payments

There are 3 major agencies that we work with that provide alternative payment options for families. They are as follows:

  1. YMCA Childcare Resource Service - 619-521-3055

  2. Child Development Associates - (San Diego Office) 619-574-6287; (Main Office South County) 619-427-4411

  3. Health and Human Services (County of San Diego)

Families have to receive approval from these agencies in order to have their child care paid for. This process can take some time, usually a month or two. Also, the agencies may not pay the full cost of the program and the families may have a "family fee" which is considered a co-payment.

Another option is our own Financial Assistance program through the Mission Valley YMCA.
